Bachelor of Science in Nursing Intellectual Disability

The BSc. Nursing (Intellectual Disability) is based on a philosophy of inclusion, empowerment and valuing people. This programme is designed to equip you with the knowledge, skills and attitudes required to become an analytical and reflective practitioner; one who is able to provide a holistic and caring approach to clients with an intellectual disability. This programme will enable you to integrate humanistic, scientific and research based principles enhancing your knowledge and understanding of the physical, emotional, cognitive, social and spiritual needs of persons with intellectual disabilities. This knowledge will be acquired through the study and practice of nursing, biological sciences, social sciences and related disciplines.
