Bachelors in Midwifery

Graduates in Obstetrics are health workers who assist and advise women during pregnancy, during childbirth and in puerperium; they conduct and complete eutocic parts with their own responsibility and assist the newborn. Graduates in Obstetrics, as far as they are competent, participate in health and sexual education interventions both within the family and in the community; to the psychoprofilattica preparation to the birth; preparation and assistance for gynecological interventions; to the prevention and detection of tumors of the female genital sphere; to maternal and newborn assistance programs; manage, under the professional ethics, as members of the health team, the assistance interventions of their competence; are able to identify potentially pathological situations that require medical intervention and to practice, where necessary, the relative measures of particular emergency; they carry out their professional activity in public or private health facilities, either as dependent or freelance
