BS Emergency Medical Technology

Since its establishment in 1995, the Department of Emergency Medical Technology has been playing a pioneering role in producing four-year college educated first-class emergency medical technicians (EMT).The Department aims to produce human resources who can protect the health and life of emergency patients by helping them to acquire the scientific medical knowledge and practical skills necessary for first aid treatment with a vision of producing the most qualified professionals.To realize this vision, students are offered opportunities for clinical field training at Gachon University Gil Hospital and other emergency medical centers in Gyeonggi-do and Seoul metro area, in addition to field training for firefighter EMTs at Incheon Fire Department.Students are also educated in building a virtuous character and qualifications as emergency first responders through the TOEIC accreditation system and seminars on career and employment in addition to learning basic medicine and theories related to emergency medical treatment.
