BA History

History helps us understand people and societies. We seek explanations for why things change or persist. History students ask challenging questions about the past and pursue answers through close examination of evidence and thoughtful dialogues. Through the history major, you'll develop key skills that employers in any industry seek, including investigating and solving problems, communicating clearly in writing and speech, and working productively in teams. History professors will counsel you directly to plan your degree and pursue your vocational and educational goals.
