BA History

Existing in Poitiers since the end of the 19th century, the History license is one of the major classical and academic courses of the University and of the Faculty of Human Sciences and Arts of Poitiers. For decades, it has been helping to train history and geography teachers in secondary education (middle and high school) and primary school teachers, as well as those destined for professions in culture, heritage, archives, libraries, communication and information. Within its own component, it maintains close educational links with the license in Art History, the license in Geography and the license in Law. At the level of the UFR SHA, the History license is currently the third training in terms of staff behind Psychology and Sociology. Its teaching team is made up of 26 teacher-researchers (17 lecturers and 9 professors)
