Spanish for Health Care Certificate

Gain competence in Medical Spanish to effectively communicate with Spanish-speaking patients and families. With classes on campus, online, and summer courses, the 5-course program will give you the necessary tools to serve a Spanish-speaking community. The program allows you to gain exposure to cross-cultural communication challenges, health belief, and practices through service learning, internships and study abroad opportunities in Latin America and the Caribbean.The certificate in Spanish for health care is a program available to undergraduate or graduate CUA students, external applicants, and to health care professionals nationwide. It allows you to gain competence in Medical Spanish and Cultural awareness to better serve the Hispanic community.
