BA in Classical Studies

The ancient studies deal with all of the expressions of life of Greco-Roman culture that can still be grasped today. You will acquire knowledge, skills and methods for dealing with the written and material legacy of the Greco-Roman cultural area and its afterlife in modern times. Introductory modules for the sub-disciplines provide you with basic knowledge of the content, history and methods of classical studies and its individual disciplines as well as a first well-founded introduction to scientific work and presentation. From the second year of study, you will acquire in-depth knowledge of the individual ancient science disciplines. You can specialize in the following areas: Ancient History, Greek Studies, Classical Archeology, Latin Studies, Middle and New Latin.
