Supply chain management covers all the activities that go into creating a product or service, making sure those activities generate maximum value for customers at minimum cost to the company, its partners, and the environment. These professionals touch every aspect of a business from new product development to building relationships with suppliers, designing and improving production processes, and making goods and services available to customers. They need to have strong quantitative reasoning skills and be able to work effectively with people from across a business.
