BA Honours Education Studies

This thought-provoking and stimulating course offers the opportunity to explore the fundamental questions underpinning education, across the lifespan from the cradle to the grave. Education Studies is concerned with understanding how people learn and develop throughout their lives, examining education in the wider context of social, cultural and political domains. You will have the opportunity to study education critically through the traditional academic disciplines of sociology, philosophy, history and psychology. At Canterbury Christ Church University we also move beyond this core, exploring issues such as sustainability, extremism and the role of the arts in education.
