Bachelor of Music in Performance and Bachelor of Music Education

If you are interested in receiving both Music Education and Music Performance undergraduate degrees, your time on campus will be extended by just one semester (4 years) through our double degree program. Many of our current students pursue both the Bachelor of Music in Performance and Bachelor of Music Education degrees simultaneously. The dual degree may be the best fit for a student seeking to gain the most performance experience during their time at the University of Maryland. Dual degree majors complete 8 semesters of coursework, applied private lessons, and ensembles, and a final 9th semester dedicated to a full-time student teaching internship.
