MAT Science Education

The Science program has received national recognition from the National Science Teachers Association (NSTA). The Science Education Department prepares undergraduate and graduate students to teach Middle Childhood/Adolescence Education: Biology, Chemistry (Grades 5-12), or Physics (Grades 7-12). Programs incorporate standards as expressed in the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), and the science and technology requirements of New York State.
