"Philosophy" / Master of Arts

The Bielefeld master’s program in philosophy places a strong emphasis on developing and discussing one's own philosophical contributions. This takes place in specially designated forums, the workshop seminars. This focus is not only aimed at the professional practice of academic philosophy, but also specifically promotes those qualifications that enable philosophy graduates to be successful in other professional fields: analytical and argumentative skills, skills in independently working on topics and the ability to Writing appropriate and convincing texts.

In the master’s course, you will deal intensively with advanced philosophical topics in small groups. The graduate and workshop seminars are competently led teaching events and at the same time offer a forum for intensive discussion among the participants. The discussion is based on a thorough study of the literature, for which you are given sufficient time in the study program of the specialist MA degree.
