Description
Graduates of the study program will acquire developed knowledge in the field of systematic philosophy and the ability to understand this knowledge in interdisciplinary contexts. He will acquire knowledge of the basic primary and secondary texts of the field and thematic areas, an overview of their historical development and current status. Thanks to the orientation of the study program to the current state of knowledge on an international scale and to analytical methods, the graduate will acquire the ability to work with primary and secondary texts in the original wording, interpret the text in a creative way, analyze and critically evaluate its argumentative structure. On a broader scale, the graduate acquires the ability to project the acquired theoretical knowledge into both pedagogical and research projects. He will be able to lecture in front of a wide audience, whether in the state or private sphere. In addition to basic language competence, he will also have knowledge of scientific methodology (especially in the field of contemporary social and natural sciences). He will be able to practically use the acquired knowledge and skills not only in the academic field, but also in the field of state administration, non-profit organizations or educational institutions. The graduate will be able to independently and critically assess issues arising from the ethical and normative dimensions of society's functioning (conflict of interests, political culture, etc.). He will therefore be prepared for work in ethics commissions both in the state sector and in the field of human resources (e.g. development of corporate ethical codes). With his skills of critical analysis and clear formulation of theses, as well as his language skills, he will be ready to design programs of cultural, social and political activities, work in the field of applications for European grants and prepare interregional, national and European cooperation projects. With regard to this type of study program, the graduate will be employed, for example: in the academic sphere and in other institutions dealing with science, research, development and innovation, in cultural and non-profit institutions or in the diplomatic sphere.
