Media and Communication Science (MA)

The research-oriented Master's degree in "Media and Communication Science" is a social science-oriented degree that focuses on research into mediated communication. The course consists of a combination of communication science, media technology and economics or law teaching content (Ilmenau model). The course is research-oriented and closely linked to the current, medium- and long-term research activities at the Institute for Media and Communication Studies (IfMK). The aim of the Master's program is to enable students to acquire knowledge and skills in theoretical approaches, The modular courses are offered in English. The graduates are thus optimally prepared for the globalized labor market, in which interface and transfer skills are increasingly in demand.
