Computer Science

Students will gain comprehensive knowledge of the systematics, terminology, and advanced topics in computer science as well as the theoretical, practical, and technical skills necessary to undertake independent academic projects in this field. Students will have the opportunity to acquire specialized skills in the University of Jena's primary research areas including algorithmic, information and software systems, intelligent information processing systems, and parallel embedded systems. Graduates of this programme are qualified for both practical applications and pure or applied research. They may also pursue a Ph.D. in the field of informatics (computer science). Potential employers include software developers and the software departments of various corporations.
