Description
Taught in our central London location, our 10-week Banking and Finance evening course identifies and explains the many instruments and markets banks use and operate within.
It provides an overview of the roles of banks and other financial organisations and the value they add to the economy and to society.
You will gain an introduction to financial instruments, markets and intermediaries to analyse how banks work.
You will identify a number of banks and – using balance sheet and profit and loss statements – examine their performance.
You’ll then identify strengths and weaknesses by calculating key financial ratios. Acting as the treasurer or finance director, you will make recommendations to improve your bank's performance or risk profile.
The skills and knowledge gained on this course are widely applicable to a career in finance.
