Applied Computer Science

The field of applied computer science is to provide students with in-depth knowledge of programming methods and tools, mathematical methods, various fields of computer science and the tools used in them. These studies will equip you with practical skills allowing you to apply the acquired knowledge in professional practice in many different fields. How is it different from computer science at the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science? In applied computer science, more emphasis is placed on practical applications, hardware and low-level programming, less on mathematical subjects (we do not give up on providing a solid mathematical basis). This is reflected in the study plan and the offer of optional subjects.
